Account & Data Deletion

Delete your account from the app

Open Circle360 and go to your profile or settings.
Open Account settings.
Tap Delete account and confirm.

Deleting your account removes you from all circles, stops location sharing immediately, and begins deletion of your personal data.

Request deletion by email

If you can't access the app, email privacy@circle360.app from the address associated with your account, or include the phone number on your account, with the subject "Delete my account". We may ask you to verify your identity before processing the request, and we will complete verified requests within 30 days.

What gets deleted

Your profile (name, phone/email, avatar).
Your location data and location-sharing history.
Your saved places and safe zones.
Your circle memberships and connections.
Content you created, such as reactions and watchlist entries.
Your push-notification token and device identifiers.

What we may keep

We may retain limited information where we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, or enforce our agreements. For example:

Transaction and subscription records required for tax, accounting and legal compliance.
Records needed to handle safety, security or legal matters, kept only as long as necessary.
De-identified or aggregated data that can no longer be linked to you.

Community safety alerts you submitted may remain visible to others in an anonymised form, as they are part of the shared community record and no longer identify you.

Deletion timeline

We delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days of a confirmed request, except for the limited data described above. Backups are purged on our regular backup rotation.

Note on app-store subscriptions

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a subscription billed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. Cancel any active subscription in your store account to avoid further charges — see Support for steps.
